Interesting read and interview. Was right he lost interest after season 2 probably a reason he didn't care who ended with who in the end.

Its a shame as big fan base for DJ and James. Soo many times remember how James didn't like the direction during season 3. Some of the things they got Dawson to do which where not in his character and just plain stupid.

They tried to fix it in season 4 and onwards. Season 6 didn't help. The show became Joey's creek not Dawson's.
