Barney thought that making plans while Ted rode in Ranjit's limousine would help calm him after Robin dumped Don. Trying to keep him relaxed was harder than ever and it made sense. The closer that Ted and Barney got to Robin, both of them began wondering if Ted had what Robin needed to keep them strong. Ranjit turned the radio on to listen to ignore them after they kept talking repeatedly about Robin and the way neither of them would come close to being in time to get to her. Largely due to Robin stressing out about what she would say to Ted when he came over
