I guess for me it's relative. I find Brianna even worse, so Roger seems not too bad by comparison.
But then when I think of someone who has had an even smaller role than him, like John Grey..then I realize that the right actor can really capture your attention right away (or even the first episode I saw Jamie or Claire, etc).
