Yes I was pretty shocked too because I cannot believe BBC would actually go and change the gender of the Doctor. And when the realization settled for me, I just went nuts! The announcement happened at around 11:30 PM my time and I was online chatting with my fellow Whovians on Messenger and we were all going "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH" over and over.
