In the beginning of Season Two, Amy was depressed due to Colin's death, and she and the rest of the town blamed Andy for his death, and so by extension she didn't want to be with Ephram because he was Andy's son. Then they had Amy go into a downward spiral and get involved with drug addict Tommy (he later became a vampire
) and Ephram became involved with Madison (don't get me started
) and Ephram and Amy finally got together at the end of Season Two.
