I related to the depression music, so it made me feel better. Mostly in the 80's I listened to Hair Metal bands. Bon Jovi (who were actually a rock band), Poison, Cinderella, Ratt, Nelson (Ricky Nelson's twin sons
). I stopped listening to MJ after the late 70's, except when Thriller started MTV.
