Well according to Tim Minear, that's how he explained Buffy/Angel relationship. Angel trying to find a Darla replacement... and I seriously never knew that until of course I heard one of his recent interviews I post it. lol
So of course now I see the episodes he was involved with very differently now.
Yeah they completely screwed the mythology.
And I agree with the other stuff you said.
