yeah. She said she's afraid she would only make things worse, and Kelly said "That sounds like something Brenda would say." Now, that is totally not something Brenda would say, but Kelly. She was always insecure about not being able to help Dylan. This was such a rewrite. But it also confirms my theory that Val was brought to replace Brenda only nominally, while she was actually replacing old Kelly - insecure about the guys, craving attention and love, troubled family situation, promiscuous past.
