Ok on the surface of the moon, is whole regions of the moon that is covered with Helium-3. To get this fuel, we would need to strip mine the surface of the moon, and then process it there. One old style payload bay of a US shuttle, would produce enough energy to power all of the US with electricity for one year. Search on the web about it.

So the Russian, Chinese, Japan, and Europe have all stated that they want to get up there and start mining it. Why isn't the US doing that. We could totally get rid of Coal, Oil, and Gas. It would produce NO bad waste, and we could solve the energy problems we have.
