My mom is feeling better, and actually is admitting she overworked herself the day after the surgery. She doesn't normally do that - she normally insists she's indestructible.
So Roxanne and I got DNA tested at Comic Con and our results came in over the weekend. I really didn't have any major surprises (I am part Jewish, which I had no idea about, but the percentage isn't big enough for it to be a jaw drop moment.) As I figured, I'm completely European - Polish, German, Irish, Scottish (all of which I already knew about) and Balkan. The Polish, Balkan, and Jewish are on my mom's side, and the German, Scottish, and Irish on my dad's. Obviously the test doesn't tell you that, but it's just reaffirming what I already know.
