Halloween is not a traditional holiday here... same with Valentine's Day. It is taking over but it doesn't feel organic if you know what I mean. The time to go crazy dressing up is carnival in many parts of Germany
But I expect them to start with the Christmas candy next month
Not sure about the present question. It's not really the material things I crave... more like extra time to do fun things or relax
And sorry for meing MIA. I had people staying at my place for the last few days and the weather was crazy good so we spent most of our time outside by the lake
