I heard that the TV show they were planning on making was cancelled. It's too bad, but also I'm kind of glad because I feel like it would have ruined the integrity of the original film.
I have this movie on VHS but still we no longer have an actual VCR, I've been thinking about ordering the DVD on Amazon. It's too bad it was never released on Blu-Ray. It's a great summer film.
