^ Yeah for that reason, I prefer Trial because that moment showed how much Darla meant to him. No words needed and nothing can take from that moment.
I guess it's difficult for me to choose between that or "Darla" because with "Darla" episode, I got the best of both worlds with Angel/Darla and Angelus/Darla.
I feel it was the FIRST time we saw how much Darla meant to Angelus. He promised her the world, and everything, and didn't want her hidden underground but by his side and would give her the view and ANY and EVERYTHING she ever wanted and he kept his promise.
Than Angel heard Darla's heartbeat, and remember promising her the world.
It was just nice to finally see Angel affected by his past with Darla. Ad even as Angel,
he returned to her and wanted to be with her.
