It just started with 2 chap.
The Scoobies get Angel to kill Dawn & plan to blame Spike.
Buffy & Spike catch them.
I'm sorry but I just can't see this in Canon.
Giles brought up killing Dawn & it seemed like the others might of been willing except Spike but it came down to what Buffy wanted luckily.
