Oliver was stranded on an island for five years he returned to Starling City with one goal to save his city.
Soon he came to realize he could not do it alone.
Oliver has to wear many faces playboy, dutiful son and brother, frivolous billionaire but the only two that matter get to see the real him.
His relationship with Diggle and Felicity has taken him by surprise and he relies on them.
They are his partners

In an “Innocent Man” Oliver tells Diggle he wants him to join him.
Diggle fights side by side with Oliver saving his life on more than a few occasions.
Diggle has a strong moral compass and sometimes will have to call Oliver out on his BS
He is driven by this and the loss of his brother Andrew who was killed by Deadshot.
Diggle and Felicity bonded over the summer, they are both grounded and share the burden that knowing the two identities of Oliver Queen isn't easy.
Digg often plays peacemaker between Oliver and Felicity

In “The Odyssey” a wounded Oliver reveals himself to be the vigilante. Felicity works with Diggle and saves Oliver's life.
Felicity is the brains of the operation. Her amazing tech support and hackers has led to the capture of many bad guys.
Felicity plays Doctor to her boys as they often get into scraps
She was the first to tell Oliver he could do a lot more for the city
Her precarious nature and hatred of mysteries can get her into trouble.
She has many Freudian slips
