Alison was defending herself, no guilt. Yes, Helen was driving drunk and hit Scotty - if Noah hadn't tried to cover it all up, Helen might have lost her driving license. But also she's rich and not hated by everyone on Montauk for her "literature" porn book. Mostly, I think Noah's decision to cover everything up makes him equally culpable as Helen.
