It's like she knew in the back of her mind that she wanted things to eventually work out with them. She said in the next episode what he said was in the back of her mind. She was the one who brought up about him not being over which showed that was something she wanted to know all those months. I think months had gone by since that dinner. If I didn't want to know something, I would not bring it up. She used being drunk to see if it was true
