Going back to BL in S2/3 dragged down both characters and it sucks for Luke since S3 would have been an amazing season for him since it was pretty likeable imo with pretty much every scene with shared with anyone who wasn't Brooke.

Lucas was passive in some departments, sometimes. But he generally had more life energy than Nathan imo. There was something so lifeless, dumb and dull about Nathan for me. I don't hate him though. I just find him more pitiable (the jerk phase) or sympathetic (the non-jerk phase) than interesting.

Was it the writing or James that Nathan dull? What would have made him interesting to you?
