IA I would have liked to see Luke and Lorelai more settled, and in a more stable relationship. Maybe even adopting an older child, I really don't like that they didn't have them explore that option in the revival and that they said that they didn't want to adopt. I get that they needed a way to bring in Paris into the mix but I still would have liked it to be shown that they gave adoption a more serious thought.

I would have liked to see Rory's storyline more of choosing career or settling down and being in one place and committing to a person with going down the path of marriage and kids eventually, or trying to find a way to balance both career and relationship, and ultimately I feel she would have been able to find that happy balance w/ Jess because I think he would support her career and be there for her.
