Well, I don't consider it a retcon since sometimes people think that people that aren't related look alike. I know what you mean by that though. Personally loved the Peyton/Ellie storyilne since it added a lot to her character and she grew because of her relationship with Ellie. And it was nice to see her doing something that didn't have anything to do with boys.
