Completely agree. It got so tiring because they both clearly outgrew each other. So, it was all about HOW it was going to get ruined again.
Well luckily for Smallville, they got new showrunners for Season 8.
I loved Clana early season 5, and season 1-3, but they always wanted to find out ways how they will mess up and Clark lies or even Lana lies and it became too much where I couldn't even appreciate their scenes.
I loved Lana as her own character though, just not with Clark or Lex after Season 5...
