And I feel like Ephram shut the door on Amy a long time before, (not completely in that he stopped hoping) just in the sense that he had tried to be with her and it never worked out so at some point he sort of gave up on that. And i think he put all his energy into Madison because she was someone that reciprocated those feelings for a while.

But its obvious that if Amy at any point would be like "I wanna be with you Ephram!" that he would totally into it again lol.
