The people who hated the remake are either people who haven't seen it, or do legit hate female comedians. They were doing the same comedy the boys did in the 80s (per the times of course). The effects were amazing, the science was sweet and it was still a funny movie. The acting was outstanding. All 4 of the girls killed it. Kate McKinnon was the surprise because everyone else we knew would be great, but she stole the show.
I highly recommend the remake. It's definitely better than Ghostbusters 2 and is just fun to watch multiple times.
