That's a great point. In every other incarnation of Superman, Clark becomes Superman before he meets Lois...well the other exception would be
Man of Steel. Lois is always instrumental in Clark deciding what kind of hero he wants to be and being Clark's guidepost but I think you're right, her role was even greater in Smallville
