I got that was Elijah's interpretation of her, but it made no sense to me. Even if he's blinded by love this show has a terrible history of love interests ignoring a characters evil deeds because heart eyes. It's annoying and I don't find it romantic in the least. I can see them saying that despite these flaws they love them and believe in good in them, but they blatantly ignore them and it's frustrating.
