Well, it turned sour alright. I knew it was coming, but I'm so disappointed in Darnley.
I just hate that he betrayed Mary in that way.
I do sympathize with his situation. I mean... the love of his life, who he thought rejected him, comes back and tells him they were separated by lies. And then Keira offers him a future where he gets to have her AND still be King of Scotland. I don't blame him for being tempted. But... he was weak. And he ruined everything he could have had with Mary in the process.
Was he telling the truth when he said he cared for Mary, too? How can I believe him when he says he's going to end the affair?
When he was confronted by Mary about his betrayal, he was such a jerk!
And so insecure... accusing Mary of not loving him.
We'll have to see how the next few episodes go, but part of me wants to just wash my hands of Darnley and be done.
