You can fall in love without a reason. Some even have feelings after just a hook up. We know that Nathan has feelings for Meredith. We don't know how she feels about him. But what I understand is it's because Maggie has a crush on Nathan. Even Alex told her about it. She doesn't want to destroy what Maggie could have with him.
