It must have been really hard for Tiffani and Brian to keep up relationship and work together - and probably, even worse after break up. I mean, in S5, Val barely interacted with David. I think she interacted with him the least of all the characters. I guess producers wanted to separate image of her as his RL girlfriend from the character. He had a hard time watching her make out with Luke and Jason, and she probably had even worse handling his jealousy. And then show creators hooked them up on screen when they were separating in real life. Imagine just breaking up with someone and having to make out with them for work. A mess!
