Yes, but her career was a bit in decline at that point, I think, so who knows. Maybe she would have done it eventually. Although, back in time famous film actors simply did not do TV shows, at least until they got into certain age when they could do whatever they wanted, because they were legends. Actors were becoming successful doing either movies or TV, not both. That's it. Successful TV career was a killer for movie career, in a way. Nowadays famous movie actors do TV shows like no one's business, although mainly mini TV series of 1 season, but back in time I think it was unimaginable.
Claire Danes is one of the rare examples of TV actors who became famous pre-2000 first on TV and then in movies. And don't say Brad Pitt, because he did not become famous due to Dallas!
