Okay I guess I'll start a discussion:

So my friend loves HP and always gives me grief over my love of Twilight. Always bashing it- typical stuff that I haven't all ready heard before: the racism of the wolves (ie that it's only Native Americans who turn), how Edward was an abusive stalker and how wrong it was of Jake to imprint on a baby.

You know the stuff we've analyzed before.

And yes I know people have a point, heck we've even complained ourselves. We've broken down the books and the movies down with a fine tooth comb so to speak. And yet despite all of that we still love them.

Why is that?

The way I figure, it's just a guilty pleasure, one of those things you love to hate but at the same time a story that's beautiful when you look past all the traditional human ways of looking at things and get down to the beauty of it.

Again, why?

When we've heard every negative and yet we still like them.

Why?
