I'm pretty sure they did. Luke knew Jess was living in Philadelphia. Jess knew Rory was living with her grandparent in s6 because Luke had told him. I'm pretty sure they talked occassionally and if Luke and Lorelai had gotten married, Jess would have been his best man.
