I'll give Mary a chance if they don't force her on us...so far, I'm feeling the force. DO NOT start dumbing down the boys are make them look weak just to prop her up! And okay I can see them having the whole OMG MOM moment! But Dean/Sam never talked after that? Sam never asked what happened, Dean went against everything we know about him and didn't ask if Sam was okay or check him over? I doubt it! So why not show it?
