I started writing a fanfic three years ago (for a completely unrelated book-series
) and the last book from the actual series was published just a few months ago.
Two of "my newly introduced characters" quite literally now exist in the last book
I'm convinced the author read my fanfiction
But yes, I agree, an author so set against fanfic isn't a likeable thing.
