His fake birthday is the date on all his legal documents. A few of my family members have a date when they were really born and then a legal date when their families reported their births.
Like my grandma was really born on January 17. But because 17 is a bad luck number in Italy her family didn't report her birth until the 18th. So all her legal documents say she's born on the 18th.
My grandpa's brother was born late Dec of one year, but his family didn't report the birth until January. They wanted to make him a year younger so he could avoid the draft.
I don't know why they reported my grandfather's birth 2 days late, because they lived across the street from city hall and it couldn't have been that difficult to cross a street on the same day as his actual birth.
