Nowhere in Holmes’ presentation did she present data concerning, or a defense of, consumer blood tests the company ran in the past few years–tests that it invalidated and that are now the subject of multiple lawsuits. One lawsuit claims incorrect results led to a heart attack. Nor did Holmes address problems at the company’s California lab that have led to her two-year suspension from owning or operating a lab, and to severe penalties for Theranos.
