Have they started filming episode 3 yet or are they wrapping up episode 2? I would think they would be on episode 2 still, but I could be wrong.
Matt, while I think it's possible one of JJ's kids could be sick, we already had that story in season 7 and it would be a bit repetitive.
And I love JJ, but I would hope they would spread out specific character centric episodes and not give JJ back to back episodes.
