10 years is a very long time to work in retail, Amanda! I'm sure you have a lot of interesting stories.
I have so much respect people in that industry.
I worked in retail for a several months after I graduated from law school while I was looking for a job as an attorney. It was quite an experience.
It did teach me a lot about people, though. They really can be crazy...and messy.
I still can't walk into a store without cursing under my breath when I see trash that customers left in aisle or discarded items left in the completely wrong departments.
I have to fight the urge to re-organize the shelves and racks when I see things out of place.
