Results of Most Complex Characters Ranking:

1. John Murphy

2. Bellamy Blake

3. Clarke Griffin

4. Octavia Blake

5. Lexa

To calculate these results, I not only counted if they were ranked, but also took into consideration where they were ranked on the list.

Additional Results:

6. Kane/Raven (tie)

7. Abby

8. Indra/Jasper/Monty (tie)

Even though the top 2 are males, there are 5 males and 6 females in total on this list.

Murphy was ranked in the Top 2 on every single person's list.

Bellamy was ranked in the Top 3 on every single person's list.

I assigned a point system to each list: If a character was ranked at #1, they received 5 points.
At #2, they received 4 points, and so on and so forth. The point totals are as follows:

Murphy - 37 points
Bellamy - 33 points

Clarke - 17 points
Octavia - 10 points
___________________

Lexa - 8 points
Kane/Raven - 5 points
___________________

Abby - 2 points
Indra/Jasper/Monty - 1 point
___________________

8 people made a Top 5 List.

If you look simply at the number of times they were included on a person's list,
the results are similar, but slightly different:

1. Murphy/Bellamy (tie - 8 lists)
2. Clarke (7)
3. Octavia/Kane (tie - 4)
4. Raven (3)
5. Lexa (2)
6. Jasper/Abby/Indra/Monty (tie - 1)

Murphy and Bellamy were the only two characters included on every single person's list.

Indra and Lexa are the only characters
who are not series mains
to the make the list.

Obviously Murphy was not a series main until Season 3.
But we still collectively ranked him as the series' Most Complex Character.
