I just can't believe they had it all planned and mapped out before they started filming the season, because then I have to think that the showrunner smokes some very bad stuff - introducing new characters they knew could never be properly explored, keeping the main group separated for almost all the episodes, making Vanessa fight her depression and want to embrace life only to make her show us that in the end the only way out of the Devil's cluthes is killing yourself.
Thinking that perhaps Showtime told them that there wouldn't be a Season 4 along the way and they had to scramble up a B plan is the only explanation that might soothe my disappointment.
Also remember when I said that I was sick of seeing the pairings I love have one of them die in the other's arms? Let's not talk about that.
