Here it's not weird or funny at all, it's actually very normal for some people not to send their kids to school if it's raining a lot. Then again, I live in a place where we go months without rain, and when it does rain, it's so quick it's like it didn't even happen. So maybe that's why when it rains a lot like Monday, it's such an event
As a teacher of 250 kids, having less of them for a day is a blessing, though, so may the rain come more often
