And in DH, plenty of times it was shown how frustrating their situation was. Ron left but that was heavily influenced by the locket he wore. Hermione stayed with Harry. In the end, Ron realized it and wanted to come back the minute he left. Real friends will disappoint you sometimes but they're the ones who won't turn their back on you when you need it. And imo, DH truly showed the great friendship these trio have.
