I agree, that trope has been exhausted to the max and I honestly would prefer another shall I say "trigger point" for the confession ... but knowing that BC are probably in denial or at least not actively processing what they feel for each other, it seems likely that a confession will only be eminent if/when Clarke goes into COL or if there's a chance she might not make it out alive.
