While "Twilight" is far and wide my favorite YA movie franchise that yes, it's important to support other movies where the protagonist is a female if nothing else so that there can more movies made and more books written from a young woman's point of view.

I so agree! Why I went to Allegiant-'cause frankly, I'm not too
cray about SW or this franchise but I went to support a female lead.
And to see Four!
Unfortunately, no other females seem to adopt this approach.
Beautiful Creatures and Vampire Academy to name but 2 of book
franchises turned into movies that no one went to. I even try and
support female comedians, like Melissa MaCarthy even tho sometimes
she's rude and crude.
