According to the write-up on ET, the creator intended it as a sort of homage to a Rorschach test, in which what individuals see in a simple ink blot is entirely dependent on, according to Wikipedia:

Quote:
a psychological test in which subjects' perceptions of inkblots are recorded and then analyzed using psychological interpretation, complex algorithms, or both. Some psychologists use this test to examine a person's personality characteristics and emotional functioning.

Personally, I see it as art in it's purest form, and am awed and amazed that a fan intuited that the clones have been subjected to such horrifically forms of subjective analysis that there's no wonder that they're all slightly screwed up, but in the nicest sense imaginable, given how many times they're survived having versions of their makers/their minions try to kill Clone Club.
