We do Christmas for all of Jared's family and then our friends and their kids we visit as well, but that's always kind of a "let me see what junk food/noisy toys I can find at the grocery store on the way over there" gag gift sort of thing. I don't normally include friends/coworkers in the occasion unless one of them surprises me first.
