So I saw Star Wars. In case you needed confirmation about how high on the nerd meter I go, I woke up early yesterday, about an hour and half before my alarm and then couldn't go back to sleep because I immediately thought "today's the day I see Star Wars!"
At church a friend told me that when they went on Saturday at 10:30 a.m. there was already a line for the 4 p.m. IMAX showing. That was the showing I was going to (yesterday) so immediately after church I left, skipped lunch, and got in line. When I got there though I was 2nd in line.
Then I saw the movie. It was probably one of the better times I've had at the movies. The crowd was awesome, and when the previews started it was one nerdgasm after another.
There were previews for seriously every big movie in 2016. Star Trek, Independence Day, Captain America, Batman vs Superman. I was already nerding out and the movie hadn't even started yet.
The movie itself exceeded my expectations (already pretty high) and I couldn't think about anything else last night. I couldn't get to sleep until 11:30 (my bedtime is between 10-10:30 plus I was already tired from waking up early) and then woke up ever 2 hours, and every time I was already thinking about Star Wars. This morning I downloaded the soundtrack so i'm listening to it at work.
