I've been lurking for a long time now but wanted to come out and ask a question!

My DVR went a little nuts and I missed part of the latest episode on Texas. I saw that Lucas and Maya were on a date but did they show how it got to that point? Like did he ask her out or anything or did it just happen? I mean I saw everything from part 2 but it seemed like there was some jumping around.
