yeah, if Joe knows she's alive AND has been in contact with her this whole time, i'm not sure how Wally could be his surprise son. that seems like a reveal that could only happen if she showed back up without any contact with either of them for years, doesn't it? i mean, wouldn't Joe already know she has another kid?
i'm thinking Wally could still be her cousin and Joe's troubled nephew or something. or maybe Mama West had an affair with Joe's brother- isn't there a Daniel West character who's a villain in the comics? he's the one who's Iris's brother, but on the show they could make him Joe's brother and Wally's father- i could see that happening.
it's a little convoluted i guess, but that could be the "twist" on it the producers were mentioning. and that way, he'd actually still be Iris's half-brother, but not Joe's son. And they could use that to bring in the character of Daniel West, which could be interesting.
