It just doesn't sit right with me.
If she had said "Derek - the father of my children." that might be a bit better, "or my dead husband, you know... the father of my children."
I feel like Shonda is removing the connection between Meredith and Derek. I
do think Derek would be honored to have fathered two children with Meredith, but it just doesn't sit right with me.
