Yes but what happened to Stefan while he was in a coffin on the bottom of a lake?Didn't he 'died' like alot of times in that period by drowning?

If that was Bonnie,in a life or dead situation maybe she told Stefan he was in danger,and since Stefan could get there faster,and of course he would've known from the start that Damon choose to go to sleep,he was there to wake him up,maybe?
